The Sault Ste. Marie District Local Citizens' Committee (LCC) is mandated by the Crown Forest Sustainability Act and the Environmental Assessment Act. Our primary functions are as follows: Advising the Ministry of Natural Resources District Manager on forest management planning issues, assisting planning teams in the preparation of forest management plans, and assisting in the implementation of forest management plans. In addition we contribute to other resource management issues.
The public is welcome to attend our meetings. They are normally held the second Monday of every month.
